Cool! Does this work with conjunctivitis? I wake in the morning with red, itchy eyes and yucky green crust. Also, you said to use sea salt, is that refined or unrefined? I can only imagine it’s an allergy-induced infection at this point. And would you use the same irrigating sinuses? And while I’m asking what do you clean your Neti pot and shot glass with? Thanks so much for the info!

Hi Susanne. I would love to see this, as I am seriously suffering from the itchy eye thing myself for the first time ever! It stinks! However, this link won't load completely, so I am unable to watch your video. Could someone check on it and maybe reload it???

    Hi Dr. Susanne,

In the second demonstration (eye washing using your hand instead of a shot glass), you didn’t use a pinch of salt. Is the pinch of salt necessary?

    Thanks!

    Hi Tasha,

If you don’t have a shot glass, then using the hand is the next best thing. The pinch of sea salt in a cup of water is preferable but if you find that you are in a bind, any purified water will do, and if absolutely necessary to clean out the debris out of your eyes, I would use tap water. Great question Tasha! Dr. Susanne
